Winning composition of the composition competition

Darius Milhaud: King Rene's Fireplace, Op. 205
Maurice Ravel: My Mother Goose
One of the most outstanding Czech chamber ensembles will offer a varied cross-section of the 20th century wind repertoire. Alongside Jacques Ibert's playful and elegant Three Short Pieces and Milhaud's nostalgic King René's Hearth, there will be the energetic Kleine Kammermusik by Paul Hindemith, a composer of "degenerate music" who had to flee to the United States from the Nazis because of his work and his wife's Jewish background. Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast and The Enchanted Garden will come to life thanks to the fairytale character of Ravel's cycle My Mother Goose, imbued with loveliness, fantasy and magical atmosphere. One of the highlights of the evening will surely be the premiere of the winning composition of the 2nd year of our composition competition.
