Emil Viklický, a musical icon, pianist and composer, managed to combine modern jazz with Moravian folklore. Although he studied mathematics, his heart always belonged to music. In 1976, he gained international recognition by winning a jazz piano competition in Lyon. A graduate of the prestigious Berklee College in the USA, he has enchanted audiences around the world. His groundbreaking album In the Holomotica City... combines traditional folk motifs with jazz improvisation, catapulting him into the jazz elite. In Jazz Dock he will perform in a trio (piano, double bass, drums).
