Štěpánka Andělová is a prominent young Czech oboist. She studied at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne under Jean-Louis Capezzali and is now continuing her studies at one of the world's most prestigious universities, the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, in the class of Prof. Dominik Wollenweber (member of the Berlin Philharmonic). She is honing her orchestral skills at the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra Academy, is a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra, and has also performed with the Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg. A very prestigious opportunity, which testifies to her extraordinary qualities, arose when she was asked to join a Berlin Philharmonic project at short notice and perform Mahler's Tenth Symphony with them. As a soloist, she has won numerous awards at Czech and international competitions. In addition, she has performed as a soloist with several Czech orchestras, such as the Hradec Králové Philharmonic and the West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Mariánské Lázně. Her playing is valued for its technical precision combined with remarkable musicality.
